London came out of Tango

The Argentine Embassy in London celebrated the ninth edition of "London Goes Tango" on July 19 on the banks of the River Thames, an event that has already become a tradition in the local tango calendar.

Between 1 p.m. and 10 p.m., more than 2,000 people gathered at the open-air stage next to London's City Hall building, just steps from the well-known Tower Bridge, to enjoy an afternoon of tango with live music, dance demonstrations, classes and milonga.

Tango is part of our identity, it is our most emblematic and recognized dance. And we are proud to take advantage of this festival on the banks of the River Thames to share it with citizens from all over the world.

Attendees, both Argentine, British and tourists, enjoyed live music by Argentine bandoneon player Carlos Quilici , and tango singer Juan Presedo @pibedeflores with guitarist Oscar Acebras .

Five different academies and milongas in the UK gave demonstrations and classes to couples who attended the event to take their first dance steps.
