Farewell of Sexteto Milonguero

Javier Di Ciriaco, singer and founder of the sextet broadcast the sextet's dissolution via Instagram.

"I am Javier Di Ciriaco, singer and founder of the Sexteto, who has been the face of the group from the beginning.

The reason for this press release is to announce the end of the activities of Sexteto Milonguero of these wonderful almost 15 years of trajectory, which has taken us on an incredible journey around the world!

This path would not have been possible without the trust placed in me by the musicians who have been part of all these years and to whom I am infinitely grateful for the musical and human contribution, the time dedicated and the professionalism.

I want to mention those who made the SEXTETO MILONGUERO:

Piano: GERVASIO LEDESMA & JUAN RIVERO
Double Bass: CRISTIAN SEPULVEDA & ALEJANDRO ABBONIZIO
Bandoneons: MAURICIO JOST, DIEGO BRACONI & IGNACIO CLARAMONTE
Violins: MARISOL CANESSA, GUSTAVO GARAY & MARIANO LAPLUME

I end this beautiful cycle of the Sexteto Milonguero, proud of the quality of musicians and people who made this long journey possible.
Special thanks to my friend and colleague Marisol Canessa for having been by my side all these years...

My decision was not taken from one day to the other, my colleagues knew about my artistic interests for some years. This forced pause helped me to determine and affirm what I had already been feeling, and to understand that life is right now.

Personally, I feel that I gave all of myself artistically and musically to the world of milonga, and today I feel the need to devote myself completely to my individual artistic search, where tango is also included, but where other music that haunt my soul will also be included.
I say goodbye with much affection from the milonga scene, I take with me beautiful memories, friends and the love of the FANS!

Thanks to all the ORGANIZERS who have trusted in our music, professionalism and dedication and with whom I have been in contact tirelessly all these years!

To my colleagues, Marisol, Gustavo, Ale, and Nacho, may the new paths continue to give us satisfactions and moments full of art and music.
With much love and respect JAVIER DI CIRIACO".
