Looking for you in the embrace

The milongas, traditional meeting places for tango lovers, are closed for an indefinite period of time. Some teachers give classes through the networks, either to get into the habit or to maintain a minimum income.

"Because of the quarantine, tango is taking a pause. We are going to see when and how to resume it. For independent teachers, it's very traumatic not knowing when we're going to go back to work and to our usual life," admits Jonathan Villanueva, a teacher at the Estilo y Elegancia tango academy, who now teaches his technique classes via Facebook. Other teachers use Zoom.
