In the city of London, United Kingdom, on June 10 and 11, the 6th edition of the Official Preliminary of Tango BA was held in that city, organized by the UK Tango Festival & Championship. The event included seminars, milongas and the official competitions of Tango de Pista and Stage Tango.
More than 40 couples from different cities participated, including Berlin, Paris, London, Parma, Warsaw, Northampton, Helsinki, Palermo, Krakow, Duisburg, Bedford, Sofia, Merelbeke, Ornavasso, Trieste, Riga, Santiago de Compostela, Athens, La Hulpe, Vilnius and Jávea.
It was held at Porchester Hall and the judges were Horacio Godoy, Maricel Giacomini, María Inés Bogado, Fernando Carrasco, Marcela Duran and Dante Sánchez. In addition, more than 1,500 people attended the two days of the Preliminary.
In the Track Tango category, the winners were the couple Michela Conti & Massimo Giarola representing Parma, Italy. In the Stage Tango category the winners were the couple of Ruta Keller & Alexis Gonzalez representing Vilnius, Lithuania.
