Dialogues between tango and son

On Friday, April 22 at 8:30 pm at Cine El Cairo, with free admission, premieres "Son Tango: between dream and wakefulness", a look at Cuban society from the perspective and aesthetics of tango. First film as directors of the singer-songwriter and bandoneon player from Rosario Leonel Capitano and Juan Pablo Tabbita, shot entirely in Cuba.

The film reflects the journey of two Argentine musicians -Leonel Capitano and Agustín Guerrero- around the island, recording their encounters with artists and everyday characters. In this journey, the Latin American character of tango is exalted, and it is twinned with son, in a dialogue in which both musics intertwine their essence, rhythm and melancholy.
