Closing of the Tango BA Festival and World Championship

Tango BA Festival y Mundial concludes today, Sunday 18 at 7pm at the Auditorio de la Usina del Arte, with the show by Marcos Ayala, The Tango Company - Tango Buenos Aires. The show summons a sensitive experience of absolute communion with dance and rioplatense music. He dares to approach with scenic truth feelings that are a substantial part of tango and makes them part of his own avant-garde language. An expression that Marcos Ayala, as director and choreographer, proposes through a constant reinvention of the genre, keeping tango alive through the generations, interweaving the traditional language of tango with current artistic trends. Together with Paola Camacho, Marcos Ayala creates synchronous movements with an outstanding interpretative technique, thus achieving an emotionally suggestive choreographic narrative.

In addition, at the Chamber Hall of the Usina from 2 pm, Jorge Amiconi with his great orchestra presents Paciencia; at 4 pm, Patricia Vel - 55 years performing tango; at 6 pm, Aleksandra Tonelli and her Quinteto Irreal; and at 8 pm, Ramiro Gallo Quinteto presents Intervalo. Also at 8 pm, the Espacio Cultural Resurgimiento will host Cantá en el festival, an open microphone for tango performers, conducted by Pablo Banchero and accompanied by guitarist Tony Gallo. And from 8.30 pm, the itinerant Milonga will take place at the Milonga El Milongón. For years, the festival used to have a great milonga in the Salón Mayor of the Usina del Arte. In this edition, the spirit of that dance floor was taken to a new place every night, touring a total of 14 milongas in Buenos Aires.
